About Wills Domain MUSEUM STOCK Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 - 4.5 STARS WINESTATE

This is a fine example of a Margaret River Cabernet.

TASTING NOTE:
With bright purple & ruby hues. Aromas of Mulberry and Dark Cherries with a palate reminiscent of Mocha chocolate. Fine dusty tannins are gentle and resolving.

After being carefully cellared for several years this wine is ready to enjoy now. However, it will only improve with further careful aging.

Limited stock remaining.

AWARDS & REVIEWS:
91/100 Ray Jordan's Wine Guide to WA 2008

“Ripe, bright and youthful. The serious minty/christmas cake aromas are echoed on the big, juicy palate that is dripping with flavours and is nicely supported by ripe, velvety tannins. 5 + years.” Winestate Magazine, March/April 2007

4.5 Stars Winestate Magazine

VINTAGE NOTES:
The 2004 pruning season from June to August was cold. These conditions seemed to help the vines wake up on queue in September and October. The mild spring conditions continued into flowering and fruit set, setting up a good potential wine quality. The season continued with relatively cool conditions.

The season for the reds was greatly improved by some late warm to hot weather in March, followed by an Indian summer in April. These late and sympathetic weather conditions allowed us to harvest the reds at good levels of physiological maturity. Some magnificent red wines were made.
