PALADIN HILL | Perfect for cellaring
WINES TO TREASURE
Winemaker Darren Haunold can trace his winemaking roots all the way back to medieval Europe and the 12th century royal courts of Austria. Paladin Hill is named after the legendary knights of the Middle Ages, a bringing together of Darren’s heritage with modern Australian winemaking techniques to create bold flavours that improve even more with age.
Patience and Precision Pay Off
Paladin Hill wines exemplify Wills Domain’s aspiration to achieve the pinnacle of winemaking and site husbandry. We approach this top tier range with low-intervention winemaking and absolute attention to detail, assuring the vines deliver low yields, varietal fruit intensity and definition, benefitting from Margaret River’s renowned environmental purity. All these influences combine to allow the vines to express their most admirable characters under the guide of the estate’s terroir.
United by a precise and delicate touch (known as Élevage), Paladin Hill wines are created to express the uniqueness of the ancient Australian soils of the Margaret River wine region.
These wines are perfect if you are collecting for the future: lay down a few bottles now and be assured of a superb taste and finish after a few years of cellaring. Our Paladin Hills range has collected an extensive and well-deserved range of top ratings, solidifying its status as our most premium range.
Signature Red, White and Bordeaux-style Blend
The Paladin Hill Chardonnay is buttery and citrusy with a hint of tree fruit while the Paladin Hill Shiraz has punchy notes of plum, oak and cherry. If you love a Bordeaux-style blend, then our flagship top tier wine, the Paladin Hill Matrix hits all the right notes, combining Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec to produce a Bordeaux-like blend of cabernets, as good as you'll find anywhere in the world!
